Birthday Party

Aubs had her birthday blowout on Saturday, Aug. 2 as we hosted 20 partygoers. The size of the crowd meant Sami and Wrigley had to be shipped off to the kennel for the party.

Aubrey's best friend from daycare, Norah, came to the party. Here Norah and Aubs wait for their drinks.

Birthday!

July 31 was Aubrey's 2nd birthday.

We started the festivities with a backyard pool party...

The water was very cold but it didn't stop Aubs from having a great time, dramatic poses for the camera included.


For her birthday dinner, Aubs chose her favorite "chicken fries." It's actually two things, chicken nuggets and french fries, but there's no time for conjunctions when you're hungry!

Aubs opened some presents from Mama and Dada. Her favorite was a game where an elephant shoots butterflies from his trunk and you catch them with nets. After playing the first time on her own, it quickly turned into, "Can you help me catch some?"


Aubs inspecting her Dora the Explorer plate, silverware and cup. This present was a warm-up for her party two days later when she became the lucky recipient of the complete list of officially licensed merchandise from the Dora empire.

Aubrey has learned how to smile for the camera...when she feels like it...and was happy to show off her new hairdo while sitting in her favorite blue couch.

Welcome to our new blog!

Even though Karry takes 10 pictures or more of Aubrey per day, I do not do a very good job of emailing those out and sharing them. I know everyone is hoping to hear from us more often with us living here in Champaign away from so many family and friends, but we all have such busy lives so we don't pick up the phone or visit as often as we would like. So this site is going to be a way for us to stay in contact with everyone and of course include lots of pictures of Aubs!

And if nothing new is going on, I will post some good "historical" photos that you will surely enjoy.
